The fun of showing is where competitions begin. Now you have the opportunity to compete with other Arabian enthusiasts on a local affordable level through the Arabian Horse Association's new show venue, "Arabian Community Shows (ACS)".

This all-amateur level competition will allow the local amateur and novice owner to test his or her skill level, gain competition experience and official recognition, and most of all have fun!

Please read and be familiar with the ACS Rules and Guidelines.

Concepts of Arabian Community Shows:

  • Affordability to encourage the fun of showing rather than qualifying.
  • General guidelines that allow for a more flexible rules requirement.
  • A primary focus on Arabians, Half-Arabians and Anglo-Arabians registered with the Arabian Horse Association Registry or the Canadian Arabian Horse Registry.
  • Year-end High-point program that creates recognition for top achievement by category and value for the horse.
  • A Milestone award program that recognizes personal achievements and tracking of an individual's progress.
  • CAHR registered Arabians, Half-Arabians and Anglo-Arabians competing in an ACS will have their accomplishments recorded in the horse's permanent event record in the web-based world database, Arabian Horse DataSource.

Arabian Encampment

The Arabian Encampment is a Region 17 Qualifying Show ~ we hold in conjunction with it separate Region 4, 5 and 6 Qualifier Shows. Held at the Interior Provincial Exhibition Fair Grounds in Armstrong.

We sincerely regret to inform you that due to the lack of interest, the Arabian Encampment Show Committee had to make the very hard decision to cancel the show for 2009. The projected loss to the club was estimated to be in the thousands of dollars if we had decided to go ahead this year. Any questions or concerns you may have; can be directed to the Show Chairman, Wally Goertz at 250-546-6004 or asmarawg@telus.net. We extend our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience or hardship this may have caused. Thanking you for your understanding, The Arabian Encampment Show Committee.
